What you need

  • At least two people for lifting
  • Power drill
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Gloves

Opening the Crate

Watch this part0:18
  1. Open each metal latch along the top edge: pull the lever out, then unhook the latch.
  2. Repeat for every latch around the top.
  3. With two people, lift the top panel straight up and set it aside.
  4. Open the latches down each corner and along the bottom edge.
  5. With two people, lift each side panel up and away.

Removing the Dust Cover and Packing

Watch this part1:12
  1. Lift off the black dust cover.
  2. Remove the foam blocks from the corners of the machine.
  3. Pull out the foam-wrapped pieces from under the machine. The dehumidifier can be thrown away.
  4. Unwrap the foam from the wooden board inside.
  5. Lay the wooden slat vertically beside the pallet, as shown in the video. It supports the ramp.

Spare Heating Lamp and Packed Parts

Watch this part2:03
  1. Lift the cover of the powdering unit.
  2. A replacement heating lamp is packed in tube number 3. With two people, remove it gently to avoid damage.
  3. Lift out the rest of the packed parts, then close the lid.
  4. Open the cabinet door below the Miro 36 Pro logo, take out the foam boxes and the cardboard box, then close the door.

Accessories Checklist

Watch this part2:42
  1. Lay out all of the accessories.
  2. Each part is numbered from 1 to 10. Check that nothing is missing.

Moving the Units off the Pallet

Watch this part2:50
  1. Lay one crate panel from the edge of the pallet down to the floor to make a ramp.
  2. Each leveling foot is held to the pallet by a metal bracket. Use the power drill to remove the bracket screws, then lift the bracket away.
  3. Remove every bracket around the machine.
  4. Raise the leveling feet so the machine sits on its wheels: use the wrench to move the nut above the foot down, then turn the foot pad to raise it.
  5. Repeat for every foot.
  6. Do not tilt the machine when unloading. With two people holding the top edges, slowly lower the powdering unit down the ramp.
  7. Lower the oven unit down the ramp the same way.

Connecting the Cables

Watch this part4:44
  1. Roll the two units close together.
  2. On the side of the oven unit, take the plastic wrap off each cable.
  3. Feed the first cable through its opening, push the plug onto its socket and turn the metal collar until it is tight.
  4. Connect the other two cables the same way.
  5. Open the dust cap on each numbered socket.
  6. Each cable comes through a numbered opening. Plug each cable into the socket with the matching number and turn the collar to lock it.

Joining and Leveling the Units

Watch this part7:12
  1. Find the two knobs on the side of the powdering unit. Turn the upper knob, then the lower knob, as shown in the video.
  2. With two people, push the units together, tucking the cables inside the gap, until the two units meet.
  3. Make sure the front and back are level on both sides. Run your hand across the seam to check.
  4. Turn the two knobs at the front seam, one near the top and one near the bottom.

Installing the Tension Rods

Watch this part8:07
  1. Move to the back of the machine. You need part 9 and part 7: two metal rods and four brackets.
  2. Place a bracket at an upper corner, at the circled point, and thread in its thumb screws by hand. Tighten them until the bracket is firm.
  3. Do the same on the other side.
  4. Hold one rod between the two upper brackets. Unscrew the black knob from the end of the rod and remove the bearing.
  5. Fit the rod end into the bracket, put the bearing back on, and tighten the knob. Do the same at the other end.
  6. Install the two lower brackets the same way, then fit the second rod between them and tighten the knobs.

Installing the Cooling Fan

Watch this part10:37
  1. You need part 8 and the parts in bag 7.
  2. Place a fan bracket at the circled point on the side of the machine, hold it flat and tighten its thumb screws.
  3. Mount the second bracket on the other side.
  4. Lift the cooling fan onto the brackets with its power cable on the side shown in the video.
  5. Remove the knobs, align the holes and tighten the first knob.
  6. Insert the second knob, set the fan to the angle you want, then tighten it. Repeat on the other side.

Installing the Take-Up Reel

Watch this part12:05
  1. You need parts 1, 4 and 9.
  2. Hold a take-up arm against the bottom of the cabinet and tighten its thumb screws, then the two additional thumb screws on the inside of the bracket.
  3. Mount the second arm on the other side the same way.
  4. On each arm, loosen the thumb screws above and below the holes.
  5. Slide one rod through a set of holes in both arms, then slide the second rod through the other holes.
  6. Take a take-up unit (part 4) and slide it onto the front rod. The second rod slides in horizontally.
  7. Do the same with the second half of the take-up reel.
  8. Place the final rod through the hole in the side bracket, then tighten all the knobs to secure the rods.

Connecting the Take-Up Cables and Paper Core

Watch this part15:10
  1. Connect the take-up cables to the sockets on the side: push each plug into its socket and turn the collar to lock it.
  2. Fit paper core 3 between the two take-up units.
  3. Tighten the knobs to hold the core in position.

Lowering the Leveling Feet

Watch this part16:05
  1. With the machine in place, turn each foot pad down until it rests on the floor.
  2. Turn the nut up against the machine to lock the foot.
  3. Do this for every foot.

Connecting Power and Powering On

Watch this part16:30
  1. Find the two power sockets. US machines run on 110V; outside the US, 220V.
  2. Plug one power cord (part 10) into the upper socket and the other into the lower socket.
  3. Plug the other ends into power outlets. The second power cord must be on a separate breaker.
  4. Press the upper power switch, then the lower power switch. Both light up, the DTF Station logo lights up and the touch screen turns on.
  5. To tilt the control panel out, press both bottom corners of its frame.
  • One power switch and outlet run the main heating element and the take-up reel. The other runs the IR lamps and the front heating element.
